What is Element?

Element is international event which name symbolize the four basic elements crucial for life.The whole story and symbolism of this camp is in the name, "Element". The themes that will be considered on this camp will be closely related to peace, love and friendship. The symbolism of this camp is that all scout participants will be divided into four groups, actually representing the four basic elements: water, air, earth and fire, which are the basis for begging of new life and survival of mankind.This year on this camp we are going forward so we are on other side of the river so now is important to make the world a better place for living.The main goal or main sentence on this camp it will be the last message on Lord Baden Pawell:

Please leave this world little bit better than you founded.

Who are we?

We are the scout group “Ilinden” from Skopje, Macedonia, member of the Scout Association of Macedonia – member of WOSM since 1997. Our scout group exists for 53 years and it was the second scout group founded in Skopje.Our scout group is included in various activities, both locally and nationally, for the last 53 years. The credibility and high rating of our scout group are proved by organizing numerous activities for improvement of our society and building the system of positive values for the young people which are supported by a lot of people and organizations.

Registration?  

Please register as soon as possible. You do not have to make a definitive reservation right away. On your first registration we will send you additional information and we will be able to answer any question. You will fine aplication form in the and of this invitation. And please make your first registration till July 20, 2010.

Who can participate?

Scouts and guides, girls and boys over 16 years. You can participate with 10 scouts + 1 leader, preferably gender balance.

When?

 The camp Element will take place from 11  to 20 August, 2010.

Where?

In the scout center in the town of Ohrid, located on Ohrid Lake, in south – west Macedonia, Prespa lake, Mountine Jakupica …..
Macedonia is a small country with about 2 million inhabitants. The capital city of Macedonia is Skopje. The most beautiful and magnificent lake in Macedonia is Ohrid Lake located by the same town. The ancient name of Ohrid was Lychnydos. The town is one of the oldest human settlements in Europe. There are 365 churches in and around it, one for each day in the year.

The camp structure?

The participants will be divided in 4 groups, and each of the group will represent one of the four basic elements for life: wind, water, fire and earth.

Program?

Camping, hiking, excursions to various places in and around Ohrid and swimming, sailing, sports, workshops, campfires, international games, astronomy and a lot of supprises and fun.

Costs?

The participan fee for the camp is 120 € per person. The camp fee includes: food, accommodation, activities, excursions, T-shirts, badges etc.
The participation fee for the pre-camp and post-camp at the scout center Ohrid is not include in camp fee. Your transportation from departure point and to the scout camp is not a part of the participation fee.

What to bring?

Except your personal equipment, including sleeping bags and mats you have to bring something from your country and scout group or association to present on the international day. And, of course, smiles and positive energy.
